We are one of the world’s leading, independent action sports publishers, and for the past 30+ years we have been rider-owned, driven, managed and staffed by passionate, dedicated board-sports lifers. Not too many action sports media companies can say that these days. But it’s a significant point of distinction and more important now than ever, as the sports we are passionate about continue to change and evolve. SBC— Some Big Company or Snow Board Canada or Skate Board Canada—has pioneered and supported the progression and evolution of action sports in partnership with leading industry brands since day one.
Whether it’s creating Canada’s first national slopestyle and halfpipe snowboard series; leading the charge to build Eastern Canada’s first major skate plaza; bringing the first live bands to the slopes of Whistler, Lake Louise, Mont Tremblant and Blue Mountain; staging the first night halfpipe event in North America; establishing the world’s biggest wakeboarding contest; throwing the biggest parties in action sports; or supporting the most legit contests and films big and small; it’s always been about doing it right for the riders by the riders, as it always should be! We work closely with the top pros, freshest faces, best photographers, filmers, writers, and industry leaders to create our industry leading magazines and websites.
